More Highland County trivia. Since the weather has not been very cooperative lately, this is a timely post. This barometer is part of Highland County history and was used to inform us for many years. To whom did it belong?

ANSWER: This barometer was used by Tom Knott, National Weather Observer, from 1959 to 1988 and reported daily on Hillsboro’s WSRW. Upon his death, his wife, Marie, took over his duties, first on WSRW and finally on WVNU.
