| Ways to help | Special Events VolunteerVolunteer help organize and/or publicize special events, ask for corporate or private sponsors for special events, and assist with event day set-up, registration, etc.CounselorCounselor's require 10-15 hours of training, a signed doctrinal statement, and a letter of recommendation from a pastor. Counselors fill out client intake forms, assist with client-administered pregnancy tests, counsel clients using Biblical principals, know about abortion methods/alternatives, lead one-on-one bible studies as needed, and serve on a regular basis.Maternity Resource Center AssistantThis position requires limited training. Assistant's help sort, clean, and hang up infant and maternity clothing & supplies; help organize the Maternity Resource Center; assemble starter kits for new moms/babies; deliver starter kits; and shop yard sales for baby or maternity clothes or equipment. |

| Items we need now | Virtual Diaper/ Wipe DriveCRADLE is starting a Virtual Diaper/Wipe Drive that will run until July 31, 2020. Our goal is 10,000 diapers (that equals to around 100 boxes depending on size) and 100 packs of wipes. We have made Wishlists on Amazon and Walmart where you can pick items on the list to purchase and send to CRADLE (1112 Gallia St. Portsmouth, OH 45662) without ever leaving your home. You can also bring in material donations to the Center Tuesday-Thursday, 10am-4pm. Will you join us in helping those in need and assist us in reaching our goal? We have been blessed to be a blessing! | About us | CRADLE is a unique organization of volunteers throughout our community who have banded together for the purpose of support. Our clients vary in age, social and economic status and religious beliefs. Some are young teenagers while others are married and have several children. We offer pregnancy test, abortion alternative counseling, post-abortion counseling, infant clothing and supplies, parent education, biblical counseling, and bible studies. All of our services are offered free of charge and no financial information is requested. |
