Opportunities

Volunteer companionship

There are many ways that Hospice of Hope volunteers contribute. This can include companionship, reading to patients, taking walks, listening to music, writing letters, taking them to appointments, and other activities.

Assistance

Volunteers can also assist with shopping and other errands, or stay with the patient to allow family caregivers a break from the demands of caregiving.

Homemade lap blankets

Do you or someone you know enjoy sewing or crocheting? We are currently taking donations of homemade lap blankets for our patients! Donations can be dropped off at the front desk in both Kentucky and Ohio! For more information please contact our Volunteer Coordinator; Melanie Strode at 606.759.4050

About us

Hospice of Hope is a 501c(3), community-based organization serving terminally ill children, adults and their families. Hospice of Hope covers more than 4,500 square miles in Bracken, Fleming, Lewis, Mason, Pendleton and Robertson counties in Northern Kentucky and Adams, Brown, Clinton, Clermont, Highland and Pike counties in Southern Ohio. Hospice care focuses on controlling the patient’s pain and other physical symptoms of their illness but also provides emotional and spiritual support for both the patient and their family. Hospice helps patients and families with end-of-life decision-making, meeting life goals, enhancing family relationships and promoting comfort.
