This position requires limited training. Assistant’s help sort, clean, and hang up infant and maternity clothing & supplies; help organize the Maternity Resource Center; assemble starter kits for new moms/babies; deliver starter kits; and shop yard sales for baby or maternity clothes or equipment.
Counselor’s require 10-15 hours of training, a signed doctrinal statement, and a letter of recommendation from a pastor. Counselors fill out client intake forms, assist with client-administered pregnancy tests, counsel clients using Biblical principals, know about abortion methods/alternatives, lead one-on-one bible studies as needed, and serve on a regular basis.
Volunteer help organize and/or publicize special events, ask for corporate or private sponsors for special events, and assist with event day set-up, registration, etc.
Museum Hosts greet visitors, help orient them to hiking trails in the entire Arc System, and interpret the outstanding natural history of their sites. No experience is necessary, training can be done on site.
There is no specific age requirement to be a 4-H Volunteer. Youth Volunteers, with the emotional maturity and leadership ability necessary to function in a volunteer role, are important partners in Ohio 4-H programs. Training volunteers. This includes studying the training material, disseminating the material to volunteers in a “public forum” format, and ensuring the volunteers understand the material.
Coordinate training sessions at satellite locations. This includes selecting a location, reserving the location, obtaining a trainer, advertising the session, and delivering the meeting minutes.
Assist in construction of and improvements to facilities, assist in maintenance of equipment, assist in development of public relations content (web site, flyers, etc.).
