Provide help and create hope for local families through the Christmas Giving Tree and Holiday Food Basket Programs by: participating in sign ups for holiday programs, organizing and sorting gifts and food, or distributing Christmas Giving Tree gifts and Holiday Food Baskets.

This program provides intensive training in horticulture to interested Ohio residents, who then volunteer their time assisting with educational programs and activities for Ohio residents through their local OSU Extension county office. Programs include Agricultural & Natural Resources, 4-H Youth Development, Family & Consumer Sciences, Community Development, Master Gardener, and food preparation. Select what youth age group you would like to work with from 5 to 19 years old.

Volunteers can also assist with shopping and other errands, or stay with the patient to allow family caregivers a break from the demands of caregiving.

There are many ways that Hospice of Hope volunteers contribute. This can include companionship, reading to patients, taking walks, listening to music, writing letters, taking them to appointments, and other activities.

We need those who enjoy “grunt work.” From time to time, we call upon these folks to help with extra cleaning, moving things, processing the newsletter to get it ready to mail, etc.

This position requires limited training. Assistant’s help sort, clean, and hang up infant and maternity clothing & supplies; help organize the Maternity Resource Center; assemble starter kits for new moms/babies; deliver starter kits; and shop yard sales for baby or maternity clothes or equipment.

Volunteer help organize and/or publicize special events, ask for corporate or private sponsors for special events, and assist with event day set-up, registration, etc.

There are various volunteer days on the weekends for to participate and increase your knowledge of the Arc properties and the natural world it protects.
